On January 23rd, students of Q- and E-Phase had the chance to participate in a project of the BBC. The educational project called “Laugh’n Learn” was part of a “Behind the Scenes”-workshop, aiming to introduce students to the world of TV-production.
Each course lasted one hour in which two actresses introduced the students to the most important jobs of a TV-production such as director, stylists and actors. After collecting and explaining the different jobs, the students got creative themselves. One of the actresses practiced a short scene with some students and a teacher, who all volunteered for acting. Meanwhile, the other actress explained to some students, who volunteered for trying out the different jobs, what they had to do. Those, who did not participate on stage, had the assignment to create some background noise so the students could film a short scene in the end, similar to a TV-production.
Afterward, the students had the opportunity to ask the actresses questions about their job and the movie industry in general.
Overall, the project was very informative regarding TV-productions and also fascinating as the actresses gave the students a special insight into their work.
Additionally, everyone enjoyed taking part in the workshop, finding out about the big variety of jobs in the movie industry.
